Improving your breathing is the key to managing your thoughts and increasing vitality. Learn techniques to help you develop more self awareness and improve your ability to relax and concentrate deeply.
Meditation Workshop: Sunday 28th May 9:00-10:30am ($25)
Gain an understanding of the 4 approaches to Yoga, learn different meditation techniques, and discover what techniques are suitable for you. Meditation can help you improve your concentration and focus, and understand the meaning of accepting things they way they are.

What is Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan?
Yogi Bhajan was an Indian Sikh who brought the ancient teachings to the US in 1969, with the aim of creating teachers rather than students. He reached out to young people, many of whom were involved in experimenting with drugs, recognising their desire to find meaning and deeper spiritual experiences. Kundalini Yoga offered a natural and profound alternative as well as helping those damaged by drug abuse.
This type of yoga was designed for the householder (rather than for monks and yogis who withdrew from the world), and is known as a technology of awareness. Knowledge only becomes real wisdom when you experience it for yourself, when it becomes your own personal experience. This experience comes through regular practice. All you need is already with you. The teacher is within.
Kundalini Yoga brings together different aspects of yoga: regulation of prana through the control and manipulation of breath (pranayama), posture (asanas), hand positions (mudras), exercise sets (kriyas), sound (mantra), body locks (bandha), relaxation, and meditation. There is a strong devotional aspect to this practice.
As with all tools associated with attaining Yoga, once one has evolved and attains self realization the tools themselves become unnecessary. The attitude should then be “if it is there fine, if it is not there, that is fine also.”
